Goals

You want to be UNIQUE and original!

Website

This is the first "view" of your event from sponsors, mentors, attendees, parents, social media, or just anyone who is interested in your event which means that it's important that it is polished, organized, and functional. There are usually 5 main sections of the website but isn't limited to: FAQs (when, where, how, what), Applications (links to applying), Sponsors (any company involved in your event), Social Media (links to social media), and Schedule (list of events happening). Other sections that are popular include Team (pictures and names of team members) and Judges/Panel (pictures and descriptions of who will be judging at your event).

Leading up to the event, some events will decide to create a live website/app which allows attendees to see what's currently happening on the schedule and if there are any updates. Make sure to keep your sponsor and general information updated. Also, after the event, be sure to update the website with stats, pictures, links for next year's mailing list, and Devpost submissions!

Facebook Messenger Bot

Although hackathons provide FAQs, attendees will have more questions which is why some hackathons will create Messenger bots to answer attendee questions!
